self-reportedAbout $200K in revenue and 178 orders, from a non-coder who took a $25 Claude course and built the site in six weeks.
Brandon Theriot turned one bookmarked playbook into Mobile Diesel Repair in Phoenix. Mechanics set their own rate (about $125/hr), he adds 30%, and scheduled Codex jobs check his ads, analytics and site errors every day. He told the whole story on The Practical AI Show, Ep 59.

Try it now
- Pick one boring local service you understand and work out the spread: what the skilled pro charges (Brandon: about $125/hr), your markup (30%), and what the customer pays (about $175). You bring the leads and the billing.
- Build a site with one in-depth page per service and one page per area you cover. Brandon used Claude (Opus); it took six weeks and about four versions that broke before one worked.
- Set up a scheduled AI job that checks ad spend, conversions, traffic and site errors every morning and emails you a summary.
- Keep a human on intake calls until your AI phone agent catches up. Brandon’s agent completes 15–20% of intakes; his partner gets about 60%.
You are my daily ops checker for [business]. Every morning, check [Google Ads], [Google Analytics] and [my site error log] and email me: yesterday’s ad spend, clicks, conversions and cost per conversion; this week’s traffic vs last week; and any new site errors with the page URL. Flag anything that moved more than 20%. Report only. Don’t change any settings, bids or budgets.

Build it with PageWhat to watch out for
Self-reported by Brandon on the show. The AI phone agent still trails a human (15–20% vs about 60% full intakes), so don’t hand it your phones yet. With no physical shop there’s no Maps listing, so he ranks with service and location pages. Build it with Page: one page per service and one per area, on a site you own.
