Let a Grok Bot screen résumés, reach out and book the interviews

Résumé screening that took 1–2 hours of every recruiting day now runs on the bot, which also shortlists, reaches out, follows up and schedules interviews.

Luka is a recruiter. Screening résumés used to eat 1–2 hours of every day. Now the Grok Bot shortlists suitable candidates, reaches out to them, follows up on their replies to gauge interest, schedules interviews and helps manage the calendar. Luka says the workflow is much more efficient and the job no longer means sitting at a computer all day.

Try it now

  1. Write the must-haves and nice-to-haves for the role in plain language.
  2. Have the bot score each résumé against them and give a one-line reason for each shortlist pick.
  3. Approve the shortlist, then let the bot draft and send a short outreach message.
  4. Have it follow up on replies with 2–3 interest questions.
  5. Connect your calendar so it offers interview slots and books them.
Copy-paste prompt
I’m hiring for [role]. Must-haves: [list]. Nice-to-haves: [list]. Deal-breakers: [list]. Here are the résumés: [files or folder]. Score each one 1–5 against the must-haves with a one-line reason, and give me a shortlist of the top [number]. For each shortlisted person, draft a friendly outreach message under 80 words. After I approve, send them, follow up on replies with these questions: [questions], and offer interview times from my calendar.

Make it run every week

A play works once. Turn it into a routine in three small steps:

  1. Run it once and check the result yourself.
  2. Give your AI a schedule. Tell it when to run this play (every week, or every month) and to message you with what it found before you act.
  3. Keep a log. One line per run: what was checked, anything flagged, what you did.

What to watch out for

Self-reported from Luka’s own post. Screen on job-related criteria only, and check the shortlist yourself so the bot doesn’t filter people out unfairly. Follow your local hiring and privacy rules. Safer version: approve the shortlist and the outreach message before the bot sends it, review follow-up replies before they go out, and confirm each interview booking yourself.
