self-reportedGrok Bot did the tax grunt work before the October extension deadline, including Schedules E and F. He says it saved about 100 hours, his CPA billed about $3k less than usual because the bot did the work, and overall SpaceX / Grok Bot "probably saved me upwards of 20k on taxes for 2025" plus the time.
Disruption (@DisruptionUp) is a small business owner who still files with a CPA. Right before the October tax extension deadline he had Grok Bot do the grunt work on Schedules E and F. The CPA still filed, but the bill dropped about $3k because the prep was done, and he estimates the combo of time and tax outcome at upwards of $20k for 2025. He says he would rather spend those 100 hours with his wife and kids.
Who did it
Try it now
- Gather last year's return, your books, 1099s, and Schedule E and F source docs in one folder the bot can read.
- Ask Grok Bot to prepare the Schedule E and F drafts from those docs, with every assumption marked for you or your CPA to check.
- Have it list open questions and missing forms before anything goes to the CPA.
- Send the draft package to your CPA for review and e-file. Do not let the bot file or pay without your OK.
- Compare this year's CPA bill and hours against last year, and keep a copy of what the bot prepared.
You are helping me prepare my small-business taxes for my CPA. Attached: last year's return, this year's books, 1099s, and Schedule E and F source docs. Draft Schedule E and Schedule F with every number tied to a source file. Mark every assumption [CHECK]. List missing forms and open questions. Do not file, pay, or email my CPA until I approve.
Make it run every week
A play works once. Turn it into a routine in three small steps:
- Run it once and check the result yourself.
- Give your AI a schedule. Tell it when to run this play (every week, or every month) and to message you with what it found before you act.
- Keep a log. One line per run: what was checked, anything flagged, what you did.
What to watch out for
Self-reported in his own X post. Tax work still needs a CPA or enrolled agent to review before filing. A wrong Schedule E or F line can cost more than the hours you save. Build it with Page: a simple tax-doc checklist page your CPA can open each year.
