self-reportedA Grok Bot put together a couple of business quotes that would have taken days, and one was paid the morning he posted. The bot also saved him 1,180 euros on home utility bills.
Filippo Salbini started his business, Salbini, in 2006 and runs the business and sales side. Quotes are slow work: pulling products, prices and terms together for each client. He had his Grok Bot build a couple of them. In his words, they "would have taken days to put together," and one was paid for the morning he posted. On the home side, his Haggle bot saved him 1,180 euros on gas and electricity by signing new contracts with a cheaper supplier.
Who did it
Try it now
- Give your bot your price list, terms and two or three past quotes you were happy with.
- Send it the client’s request (email, notes or a call summary).
- Ask it to draft the quote in your format, with line items, totals and payment terms.
- Check every price and quantity yourself before it goes out.
- Have the bot follow up a few days later if the quote isn’t paid.
Here’s my price list, my standard terms and three past quotes I liked. A client just asked for: [request]. Draft a quote in the same format with line items, quantities, unit prices, totals, delivery time and payment terms. Flag anything in the request you couldn’t price from my list. Don’t send it; give it to me to review.
Make it run every week
A play works once. Turn it into a routine in three small steps:
- Run it once and check the result yourself.
- Give your AI a schedule. Tell it when to run this play (every week, or every month) and to message you with what it found before you act.
- Keep a log. One line per run: what was checked, anything flagged, what you did.
What to watch out for
Self-reported from his own post. A quote with a wrong price is worse than a slow quote, so check every number before it goes to a client. The utility savings were for his home, not the business. Safer version: have the bot draft the follow-up a few days later for you to approve and send.
