self-reportedAfter adding a £5 a month connector to Xero, his Grok Bot generates his invoices in seconds and understands his business’s financial health. He no longer relies on himself or his VA for invoicing.
enrico runs a business and had just worked a 12-hour day with no more than an hour's break. Invoicing and keeping on top of the numbers fell to him or his virtual assistant. He bought a £5 a month connector that links Grok Bot to his Xero accounting software. Now the bot creates invoices in seconds and can answer questions about where the business stands, so he’s always on top of it.
Who did it
Try it now
- Pick a Xero connector your bot can use and check exactly what it can read and change.
- Give the bot your invoice rules: rates, payment terms, who gets billed when.
- Tell it what work was done and have it create draft invoices.
- Approve and send the drafts yourself.
- Ask it weekly for a short money check: unpaid invoices, cash in, cash out.
You have access to my Xero account. When I tell you about finished work, create a draft invoice: client [name], items and rates from [rate list], terms [days]. Don’t approve or send it, just give me the link. Every Monday, send me a 5-line summary: total unpaid invoices and who owes what, cash in and out last week, and anything over 30 days overdue.
Make it run every week
A play works once. Turn it into a routine in three small steps:
- Run it once and check the result yourself.
- Give your AI a schedule. Tell it when to run this play (every week, or every month) and to message you with what it found before you act.
- Keep a log. One line per run: what was checked, anything flagged, what you did.
What to watch out for
Self-reported from his own post. Use the least access the connector allows and keep sending as a human step until you trust it. Build it with Page: a pay-your-invoice page linked from your emails.
