Subscription and tool bills audited for him: $200 a month in waste found and cut

"GrokBot just saved me $200 a month." It found that the ChatGPT he paid $20 for is included in his Revolut Premium, cut 5TB of Google storage to 2TB, swapped a $40 a month API service for a $5 one, fixed a Vercel setup that cost $20 a month too much, and found site bugs burning almost $100 a month in tokens.

Colin Fitzpatrick is a Dubai based consultant and co founder. He had Grok Bot go through his subscriptions and tools. It found a ChatGPT plan he had been paying $20 for all these years that was already included in his Revolut Premium, storage he was paying for and not using, a $40 a month API service it replaced with a $5 one, a Vercel misconfiguration costing $20 a month too much, a way to combine his X, Grok and Grok Bot accounts, and bugs on his site burning almost $100 a month in tokens.

Try it now

  1. Export the last 3 months of card and bank statements.
  2. Have the bot list every recurring charge with what it is and what it costs.
  3. Ask it to flag duplicates, plans you already get free through another service, and plans bigger than you use.
  4. Have it check your cloud and API bills for setups that cost more than they should.
  5. Cancel or downgrade the ones you agree with, yourself.

Here are my last 3 months of statements. List every recurring charge, what it is and what it costs. Flag anything I'm paying twice, anything already included in another plan I have, plans bigger than I use, and cloud or API costs that look too high. Don't cancel anything; give me the list.

Make it run every week

A play works once. Turn it into a routine in three small steps:

  1. Run it once and check the result yourself.
  2. Give your AI a schedule. Tell it when to run this play (every week, or every month) and to message you with what it found before you act.
  3. Keep a log. One line per run: what was checked, anything flagged, what you did.

What to watch out for

Self-reported from his own post. Some of the savings were personal tools as well as business ones. Safer version: give the bot statements to read, not your card logins, and do the cancelling yourself. Build it with Page: a simple internal page listing every tool you pay for and why.
