self-reportedHe texted a Grok Bot to build his wife's ice skating gear site on his way to work. When he got back, the page was designed, the shop connected, inventory listed and payments working, and one order had already been placed by a real customer.
Ardullo had promised to build a site for his wife's ice skating business, which sells gear, and never did. On his way out the door he texted his Grok Bot something like "handle my wife's ice skating site, she sells gears, use my card," and dropped in all the files he had. When he got back from work the shop was live, with inventory listed and payments working, and a customer had already placed an order.
Who did it
Try it now
- Put everything in one folder: product photos, names, prices, sizes and your logo.
- Ask the bot to build the shop and list every product, and to show you the plan first.
- Connect payments through a standard checkout like Stripe or Shopify Payments.
- Place one small test order yourself before you share the link.
- Check the first real orders by hand: price, shipping and stock.
Build an online shop for my [business] that sells [products]. Use the photos, names and prices in these files. List every product with a clear photo, price and sizes. Connect checkout through [Stripe/Shopify], and show me the full plan and any costs before you set anything up. Don't spend money or turn on payments until I say yes.
Make it run every week
A play works once. Turn it into a routine in three small steps:
- Run it once and check the result yourself.
- Give your AI a schedule. Tell it when to run this play (every week, or every month) and to message you with what it found before you act.
- Keep a log. One line per run: what was checked, anything flagged, what you did.
What to watch out for
Self-reported from his own post, one order so far. Safer version: he told the bot to "use my card." Give a bot a virtual card with a low limit, or have it ask before any charge, and check what it signed up for. Build it with Page: a shop page you can update by talking to it.
