SEO work of about 20 hours a week handed to one AI agent that gets you named in AI answers

self-reported

Work that took about 20 hours a week (his estimate) is now done by one AI agent, and nobody on his team does SEO, AEO or GEO. In August, 3 AIs named his business first in 4 of 11 answers. In October, Google's AI answer named it 2nd for its main search. Each check costs about a cent.

Ly Viet Vu, who has had 4 exits including an agency sold to WPP, built one AI agent with one job: get his business named first when customers ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Google where to buy. Every Monday it asks those AIs the questions customers ask, notes which websites the answers trust, writes the listings and pitches for those sites, keeps his pages in the shape AI likes to quote, briefs a person when a job needs a human, and reports with one chart and one decision.

Try it now

  1. Write down 3 to 10 questions your customers ask before they buy, in their words.
  2. Every Monday, ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Google those questions and note who gets named and which sites are cited.
  3. Make the cited sites your hit list: get listed, pitched or reviewed on each one.
  4. Fix your own pages: the answer first, your name and city in the first line, a number only you have, and a date.
  5. Keep one chart of how often you're named, and make one decision a week from it.

Here are the questions my customers ask before buying: [list]. Ask each one of ChatGPT, Gemini and Google in [city/market]. For each answer, record: who was named first, whether my business [name] was named, and every website cited. Then give me a hit list of the cited sites, sorted by how often they appear, with how to get listed on each.

Make it run every week

A play works once. Turn it into a routine in three small steps:

  1. Run it once and check the result yourself.
  2. Give your AI a schedule. Tell it when to run this play (every week, or every month) and to message you with what it found before you act.
  3. Keep a log. One line per run: what was checked, anything flagged, what you did.

What to watch out for

Self-reported, and the 20 hours a week is his own estimate. AI answers change often, so track the same questions over time instead of trusting one check. Write every listing yourself or check it before it goes up. Build it with Page: pages written the way AI likes to quote, with your answer first.
