Have a Grok Bot audit your cloud bills and subscriptions until it pays for itself

He told his Grok Bot to save enough to cover its $200 a month plan. It found about $600 to $700 a month in Google Cloud and GitHub costs, then canceled subscriptions he no longer used, for about $1,000 a month saved in total.

Reco Jefferson builds software projects. He connected Grok Bot to his email, a bank connector and his project back ends. He recommends a separate finance bot that reports to a main chief-of-staff bot. Grok Bot audited Google Cloud and found always-on workers and three staging instances he didn’t need. It moved his GitHub to an organization account to cut the cost of the GitHub Actions he burns through on tests, about $300. Then it went through his statements and lined up the subscriptions he wasn’t using, and he canceled them.

Try it now

  1. Give Grok Bot read-only access to your bank or card statements and your cloud billing pages.
  2. Ask it to list every recurring charge with what it’s for and when it was last used.
  3. Have it audit your cloud setup for always-on servers, extra test environments and plans you’ve outgrown.
  4. Review the list and approve each change or cancellation yourself.
  5. Set a monthly check so new charges don’t pile up again.

Your job is to save me at least [$ amount] a month. Using my statements from the last 3 months and my billing pages for [Google Cloud / AWS / GitHub / others], list every recurring charge: vendor, monthly cost, what it’s for, and last sign of use. Then audit my cloud setup for servers that run all the time but don’t need to, extra staging or test instances, and cheaper plans that fit how I use them. Give me a ranked list of changes with the monthly savings for each. Don’t cancel or change anything until I approve it.

Make it run every week

A play works once. Turn it into a routine in three small steps:

  1. Run it once and check the result yourself.
  2. Give your AI a schedule. Tell it when to run this play (every week, or every month) and to message you with what it found before you act.
  3. Keep a log. One line per run: what was checked, anything flagged, what you did.

What to watch out for

Self-reported on his own channel. Give the bot read-only money access, and approve every cancellation yourself. Before shutting down a server, check that nothing live depends on it. Build it with Page: a simple page listing the services you offer clients.
