How are roofers using AI to get more leads and save time?
Roofers in these plays use AI to win jobs, answer calls and keep the books right. A roofer's Grok Bot supplementer helped turn a $1,200 repair into a $31,800 full roof replacement. An AI agent booked 26 sales appointments in 30 days from calls no one answered, most after hours. One owner cut $19k a month in costs while finishing a custom CRM. AI also costed 5 jobs and paid $5,466 in commissions correct to the penny. All results are self-reported.

His bookkeeping service ($925/month) left months of deposits unentered; his AI matched an $11,000.61 deposit to the exact customer check in seconds.
Jeff Kish owns Homey Roofing & Restoration, a Colorado storm and insurance roofing company. He gave his AI the bank statements and it matched an $11,000.61 deposit to the customer checks behind it, plus answered questions that would have taken him hours to dig up.

5 jobs costed and $5,466 in commissions paid “correct to the penny”; work that “used to take an afternoon” is now a review and send.
Blue Collar Bots (@TheBotForeman), a roofing contractor running the back office on bots, has a Grok Bot pull material costs from supplier portals and subcontractor invoices from email, cost each job, and build the commission sheet with invoice copies in Google Sheets.

A roofer’s Grok Bot supplementer helped turn a $1,200 repair job into a $31,800 full roof replacement, and a small repair under the deductible into a $13,000 replacement. He says he has 7 AI employees and pays $100 a month for Grok Bot.
Brett Patrick owns Happy Days Roofing & Construction and Good Boy Gutter Protection. He feeds his supplement bot jobs that insurance denied, partly approved, or approved as a full replacement, and it looks for where more can be claimed. He checks its work and gives it the right inputs. His other bots: an office admin that acts as chief of staff, a production manager that watches the job board, orders and job costing, a marketing rep that posts daily and answers leads in Facebook and Nextdoor groups, and a sales rep that follows up the pipeline and drafts estimates. When a job sells, the production bot sends a welcome email within an hour and the sales bot sets up postcards to the 25 homes around it. He also built his own CRM, replacing a platform that cost about $300 a month.

In 48 hours his Grok appointment setter reviewed 102 leads, contacted 58, and sent 67 messages, 25 of them with pictures. Grok costs him $30 a month. He works out that staffing 16 hours of daily follow up in Miami (two 8 hour shifts at $20 an hour) would cost $320 a day, or $9,600 a month, before payroll expenses.
Christian Bello is a roofing contractor in Miami. He was spending thousands on Meta ads while his employees forgot to follow up with leads. So he built an appointment setter with Grok. Every 5 minutes it checks his CRM for new leads, texts them in English or Spanish with real pictures of his company, crew, projects and TV interviews, checks his calendar and offers two real appointment times. If nobody answers, a 7 day follow up sequence runs. His SMS platform and integrations cost extra, and his people still handle the actual sales.

ChatGPT named his roofing company its #1 pick in New Orleans. The page it cited was written by a software company selling an AI receptionist, so his tip is to check which sites ChatGPT cites and claim the free listings on them.
Hunter Lapeyre runs a roofing company and generates leads. He found that ChatGPT named his company its #1 roofing pick in New Orleans, and that the page it cited came from a software company selling an AI receptionist, not a roofing directory. His method: open a private window, ask ChatGPT for your trade plus your city, tap every gray source tag in the answer, and claim the free listings on those sites.
